Welcome!

GOALS.

It’s such an important activity that I would attribute growing my business to millions per year, expanding my team, building my dream home and so much more to the simple action of setting a goal. Your results are all about the goal and the growth that comes along with it.

The video below will walk you through how to write a goal card (🔥Hot Tip: Take notes! This video could be worth millions to you!) and I’ll bring you through how to set a goal in the first place, too.

Here’s what’s coming up:

✅ 3 types of goals

✅ How to test your goal

✅ How to write a goal card

✅ What to do once you’ve set your goal

Let’s boogie! 🕺🏽

3 Types of Goals

Ya know, many people set goals because they're trying to get something. In my book of life, the purpose of a goal is to grow. Who do you want to become? What do you want to accomplish? But before we get to that…

It’s important to know about the 3 types of goals:

#1: Knowing Goals

Let's say last year you earned $50K. The year before that, you earned $10K. Now it’s time to set a goal for the upcoming year. If you set a goal that doesn’t push you past your existing reality you will stay in the same place.

For instance…

You might think, “Wow… $50K per year is soooo much better than $10K. I’m going to kick it around here for a while.”

If you permit yourself to stay fixed in that reality you will NOT grow, because you know how to earn that amount of money.

AVOID THIS TYPE OF GOAL

#2: Thinking Goals

When a person starts to think, they say to themselves, “Hey, I earned $50K last year. You know… If I work some overtime, try a little harder or pick up a part-time job, I could earn $60K this year.”

When you start setting goals that you think you can do, you start to plan. Now plans are good, however, they are born in the intellect and they do not create motivating goals. If you actually want to achieve your goal you MUST get emotionally involved with it! Thinking goals won’t do that.

AVOID THIS TYPE OF GOAL

#3: Wanting Goals

Now things get interesting here…

A goal is an idea you want to bring into your physical world.

So, when you sit down and start to ask yourself, “What do I really want?”, you MUST use your imagination. If you're anything like me, this might be difficult for you.

When I wrote my first goal card, I needed a lot of help. I was a carpenter earning $5K a month and I was blocked. I didn’t know what I really wanted. Hours of reflection, writing and feeling led me to write: “I'm so happy and grateful I earn $100K a month…” (Keep reading for the complete card… 😏)

That was HUGE for me. I finally set a goal based on what I want for my life. Not what I know I can do. Not what I think I can do. But instead… What I want to do!

That’s when we tap into our desire and heat for creating something new, creative, never-been-seen-before. We tap into our hardcore energy!

SET YOUR GOALS BASED ON WHAT YOU WANT! THAT’S HOW YOU’LL GROW!

How you know your setting a WANT GOAL…

Now we know it’s all about WANT GOALS, but how do we know if that’s what we’ve just set, right?

The first question to test out your goal is:

→ Does this goal challenge my thinking? Does it make the neurons start to short circuit in my brain? Does it make me want to reject the idea? If your goal is challenging you on a cognitive and physiological level, then you're on the right track.

🔥Hot Tip: How does your body react to your goal? Do you feel excited, expansive, and a little scared? If yes, it’s likely a Want Goal.

The second question to test if you’ve set a WANT GOAL is:

→ Does this goal challenge my belief system? This is key. You don’t have to believe the goals you set. In fact, at first, you shouldn’t. Start setting goals that push you! Ask yourself: “Do I really, really, really want this?! Will I wake up next year on this date and regret not going for this?!” And the answer should be a resounding, “YES!” The belief will come. All that matters is that you WANT it. And you WANT it bad!

🔥Hot Tip: Rate your desire level for your goal on a scale of 1 to 10—I’d say 8+ is on the right track.

The third and most important question is:

→ Does this goal make me uncomfortable? Now the rubber hits the road! Discomfort sets in when you have to take action! For example…

When I was a consultant for the legendary Bob Proctor, a personal development pioneer, I had the goal of speaking at one of his events.

I would visualize it every single day.

I got so good at visualizing this goal that it had become very real to me and then…

I got a call.

I was invited to speak at an event in Toronto. 🤯 You’d think I’d be jumping for joy, but the night before the event, I was so terrified I wanted to base jump off the top floor. I would rather skydive at very unsafe levels… That’s how consuming my anxiety was.

But I had to do it and I did it.

And this is what I learned…

“One of the scariest things you'll experience in your life is when you start to fulfill your goals.”- Dave Conway

🔥Hot Tip: Get ready to feel very uncomfortable. Embrace it!

How to Write a Goal Card

Now, for the actual writing I want you to watch the training video above. Have a notebook and pen handy and take lots of notes. This is a practical and mental skill you can literally take to the bank for the rest of your life!

And if you want a quick spoiler… Here’s an example of how I write my goal cards:

I am so happy and grateful now that I earn $100K per month. My clients and team are getting phenomenal results from my world-class service and mentorship. My growth and consistency perpetually create quantum leaps for myself and everyone I come in contact with. It is done and I love it!

🔥Hot Tip: Watch the training to get the line-by-line breakdown and the “sprinkles” that go on top!

Inspired Action Steps:

If you read Napoleon Hill, like I do, you’ll know that goals without action are pointless.

So, here are your marching orders to take what we’ve covered today and move into action:

✅ Watch the training video above.

✅ Follow the steps and write out your goal card as described.

✅ Keep your goal with you at all times! Maybe it’s on paper, maybe it’s a voice memo—the magic is to read it/listen to it every day, as often as you can to build up your belief and desire.

✅ Share your goal in my Facebook group. We’re a community of high-ticket salespeople, coaches and consultants going for BIG goals and there’s always room for one more. 😎

Wonderful work! And until we meet again…

Get your goal on a card, because there’s no better time to change your life. May as well be today!
