Case Study: $8K in Sales in 8 days With a Totally New Coaching Program

Dave Conway, Sales and Mindset Coach

Dave Conway, Sales and Mindset Coach

Hey there! 👋🏼

I’d like to tell you a story about an absolutely incredible woman.

Her name is Marcy, and she’s the type of person that always gives off this incredibly warm and happy energy whenever you are around her. Unlike a lot of my other clients, I didn’t meet her at an event of mine. In fact, our first interaction was a sales call. Hear about how that call went and the shifts that happened not long after in our interview below!

Before the global pandemic hit, Marcy had a Yoga studio where she hosted regular classes. That was her way of making an income after practising Yoga for almost 21 years. As the world began to shut down, she slowly watched her main source of income substantially drop. However, instead of dwelling on that, she decided to refocus her attention on completing the book that she had always wanted to write.

She did that as planned (Marcy is a very good student and I am constantly in awe of how dedicated she is to getting things done), and she decided to move into coaching because as that work brought her the most joy and fulfilment. To help kick-start her new journey, she hired a business manager to help her put a coaching program together. She was feeling pretty good about going to market with it, but at the same time, she felt terrified about taking the next necessary step.

Around the same time, one of my team members happened to message her on Instagram to see if she’d like to level up both her life AND her career. Even though she didn’t reply, she spent a substantial amount of time researching who I am and what it is that I do. Once she read through my credentials and all the testimonials, she decided to book a call with me.

She was committed to taking action. We had a fun call together and in the end, she pulled the trigger and decided to work with me.

Now here’s where things get interesting…

It took her less than 12 hours to finish the first homework task. (Yes, I give homework, and yes, it’s an important part of my coaching process). So the very next day we jumped on another call to look over her coaching program work. This is something my team and I do for every client we have.

The intention behind this is to analyze the coaching programs clients intend to sell to make sure everything is clear from the start. At Conway Consulting we believe order gets orders!

So, in Marcy's case, this process was completed relatively quickly, and in under 48 hours, she started selling. I don’t know if that’s a record, but it was definitely a fast start.

Some people only need to take a few steps, others need to hike up a mountain, so it's important to keep in mind that this process is very personal.

For Marcy, she had booked $8K worth of coaching in 8 days, and then things began to escalate faster and faster. So much so that she got scared. Marcy felt like she needed to stop sending sales messages for a while until she knew for sure that she could deliver with her program. And once she began noticing all of the positive feedback that she was receiving from her clients, she went right back into it.

I do quickly want to put emphasis on the fact that going through coaching with us at Conway Consulting is not a walk in the park. You need to put in the work because there are a lot of training videos to watch, homework tasks to complete and implement, etc. which are built into this program to help you tap into incredible, life-changing opportunities.

But Marcy enjoyed it—and now she’s at the point where progress is something normal. This is what she had to say about being part of the the One Sale A Day Club:

“If you want to grow, this is the place to be because you're upgrading the company you keep, you're upgrading the level of thoughts in your head. You're also upgrading the expectations on yourself and it's inevitable that you're going to grow.”

Three key things Marcy learned from working with our team at Conway Consulting:

1. In order to be the person you want to be, you've got to be where those people are.

That’s what the One Sale a Day Club is all about. It’s a place filled with people you can learn from, who inspire you and push you to grow.

INSPIRED ACTION STEP: Join our exclusive Facebook group and surround yourself with those living in a growth mindset.

2. It’s important to have structure.

If you’re an entrepreneur working in the digital world, it’s very easy to get caught in a vacuum. Structure helps you move past that and keeps you productive.

INSPIRED ACTION STEP: Create a to do list at the end of the day for the next day or week. Build this into your habit nature like having morning coffee.

3. It’s all about incremental upgrades.

You don’t have to take big steps in order to grow. Consistency is what’s important!

INSPIRED ACTION STEP: Track your progress in writing to keep yourself accountable and to be reminded of the progress you’ve made—re-read it monthly to stay focused.

It’s been an absolute pleasure to mentor Marcy, and I know for a fact that she’s going to achieve even greater things in the future.

If you want to have a similar experience, book a 10-minute coaching session with a member of my team and we'll help you take the leap. Let’s work together to create the life you want—I'm ready if you are!

All the best,

- Dave
