Case Study: From $12,000 To $144,000 Per Month In Less Than A Year!

Dave Conway, Sales and Mindset Coach

Hey there!

I have another great story for you today. This one is about D’Arcy Henneberry, or 'Captain Henneberry' as I like to call him. The Captain works in the mortgage industry, and up until May last year, he lived a totally different life from the one he has now.

As you might have guessed, his life began to completely transform from our very first call. However, I’m merely a guide in this story. He’s the protagonist, and he deserves all the credit for the hard work that he has put in as well as his willingness to change his life for the better.

D’Arcy was doing well before he discovered Conway Consulting. In fact, he had a successful business and a good income. He was making the most amount of money he had ever made in his life at the time. So overall he was on a good trajectory, mentoring staff and working with others in the mortgage industry. Even so, there was something missing. He was still searching for more, especially when COVID hit. The pandemic allowed him to slow down, exhale and start looking internally.

He went to a real estate forum where I spoke, and after listening to my presentation he went on and signed up for the Goal Achiever Workshop. The workshop was supposed to happen in a few weeks on a Saturday. Now, bear in mind that this workshop takes 8 hours. The day before the event, D’Arcy realized that he didn't feel mentally prepared for an 8-hour event… but since he had already committed to it, he didn’t pull back. This is a very important aspect that I want you to pay attention to. Captain Henneberry was dedicated to taking action, even though he just heard me speak once.

A lot of people have desires, but very few people have the willingness to go after what they want.

That makes a world of difference, and it paid off big time for D’Arcy. In his own words, the day of the event was when “the trajectory of my life shifted.” Trusting in trajectory is something D’Arcy has adopted into his mindset.

“You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something—your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.” - Steve Jobs

D’Arcy takes this perspective to heart.

About an hour into the workshop, I started to speak a lot about purpose, and up to that point in his life, D'Arcy had come to realize that he had no idea what his purpose was. But that changed entirely after the workshop. He started to apply the principles taught and as he did that, he witnessed how his life started to take on a new form. One that gave even more truth to Steve Jobs’ quote. D’Arcy trusted that the dots would somehow connect in his future. And they sure did!

But it didn’t happen just because he dreamt about it. It happened because he put into practice everything he discovered about self-image, shifting paradigms, and goal setting. He had a goal, one that he wrote down during the workshop. It was a scary one, but it brought out the best of him. Before working with me directly, D’Arcy was making $144,000 per year. So in order to make sure his limits were pushed, he took it upon himself to turn his yearly income into his monthly income. And he was all in on this. Despite facing fear, he created a new self-image for himself and made sure to stick to it. He joined the One Sale A Day Club and Fusion Mastermind with me and trusted the process entirely.

Fast forward 9 months, his goal turned into reality. In January 2021, he made more than $144,000. In just one month he earned more money than he did in all of 2019. In reality though, he only started to truly believe this was possible about three months before hitting his biggest month ever. You see, when you first introduce a new idea, it’s very easy to reject it. It takes a bit of time to fully accept it… and a whole lot of dedication.

“I decided very early on that I was going to believe and do everything that Dave would say, without question. And that has served me extremely well. Every time Dave says, write this down, I quickly stop what I'm doing and I write it down.” - D’Arcy Hennebery

Congratulations to D’Arcy for being the person he is, for trusting the process, and for doing the work.

Three key things D’Arcy learned from working with our team at Conway Consulting:

1. Developing a purpose is vital.

Why are you waking up in the morning? What’s getting you out of bed? That’s what puts fuel on your fire and helps you keep pushing forward. So think about that, because it’s what helped D’Arcy make it to where he is now.

INSPIRED ACTION STEP: Take 30 minutes to answer this question is writing: If you had a purpose what would it be? The answer to this question is often the guiding light to discovering your own purpose statement.

2. Persistence is absolutely key.

Going after your goals relentlessly is exactly what it takes to succeed. Visualizing and full-heartedly wishing for things helps when it comes to gathering energy, but you need to put that energy to good use for dreams to become a reality.

INSPIRED ACTION STEP: Think of someone you admire who is very persistent, who gets up every time they fall, who doesn’t quit when things get hard. When you feel your persistence waning—ask yourself: what would ________________ do?

3. You need to have a positive mental attitude.

It’s not always going to be easy, but all the hard moments will pass if you trust in yourself and the process—entirely.

INSPIRED ACTION STEP: When feel your attitude faltering—shift it. Use music, movement, dance, or simply, take a break. When we neglect ourselves our attitude dips. Find ways that shift your energy.

It’s been an absolute pleasure to mentor D’Arcy, and I know for a fact that he’s going to achieve even greater things in the future.

If you want to have a similar experience, book a 10-minute coaching session with a member of my team and I’ll help you take the leap. Let’s work together to create the life you want.

All the best,

- Dave
